[312] For we read in the scripture, "The lamps of fire which were in the midst between the divided portions," [197] [198] that you may know that the divine powers which go through the middle of both bodies and things, destroy none of them; for both the divisions remain unhurt, but only divide and discriminate in a most excellent manner between the natures of each.
